I was reminded of this tip again recently. Our first instinct is to say sorry right away, but these two words are far more powerful. Watch the video to learn what they are.

One of the fears I find many people have is the fear of failure. They allow themselves to be consumed by it, so much so that they never truly pursue their passion or their dream - they don't venture into creating something, let alone enacting the change in their life necessary to grow themselves. Tragically, these individuals pass up opportunities that would add value to their lives.
Ever since I could remember I imagined that I would one day have my own library of books and that they would be organized on beautiful book-shelf that spanned the room of my domain. Well, I didn't realize that my life would involve so much travel that I have probably owned a storage unit for more than fifteen years, and I've moved from place to place over three dozen times.
It doesn't take me long when scrolling down Facebook before I'm fed a sponsored ad by a new fitness marketer. It's pretty normal for me since I click on fitness articles and I'm sure I'm someone Facebook has identified as a prime candidate for this kind of information. But some of the stuff I've seen really troubles me, and I wonder, someone must be buying these products, otherwise, the same ones would not be coming up in my feed.
Many fitness personalities that are running an e-marketing business talk about how they can show you how to make thousands more as a personal trainer using their systems. Click on a link and you're routed to a video and asked to share your email. Then you can sign up for a webinar. Heard this one before? I'll give you two pages that you can add to your website and get high-paying clients emailing you as early as tomorrow... or... make six figures by implementing my 5 steps, and so on and so on. These people don't have a unique product to offer you, rather, they have produced a minimum viable product and wrapped it up in an e-marketing sales funnel for fast cash.
When I was a child I watched how my parents would start and end the day. My mother was in charge of 5 children and my father would leave every morning to make a living in order to provide for us.
Some days were better for my father than others. He was a self-employed electrician - or tried his best to be. Later in life I learned that he played an important role in providing electricity for many of the churches in Baghdad as a young man, most of which don't exist anymore as a result of the warfare. In the United States however, he was not just an electrician, but also a painter, a carpet cleaner, and a handy man.
Could you imagine walking away from a 'Shark Tank' deal?
These businesses did just that. But why?
Coffee Meets Bagel owners, sisters Arum Dawoon, and Soo Kang, walked away from a $30 million dollar offer by Mark Cuban to have interest in their unique dating site.
Arum and Soo still got funding however after their episode aired and tripled its user base. It turns out, they had something in common with the other business owners that turned down the sharks.
Here is a question that was posed on Quora that I thought it was important to answer. I get questions like this and believe it is vital to ask your mentor focused questions.
1. STAND UP AT YOUR DESK AND WORK
Did you know that besides making you feel awesome, standing up to work instead of sitting can actually save your life? It's true! We've known this since the 1700s. Berbardino Ramazzini (1633-1714), author of De Morbis Artificum Diatriba [Diseases of Workers], describes maladies relating to sitting for long hours. They include poor posture and neck pain. which results in fatigue.
By standing up you burn more calories and it allows your body to process its electrical activity.
The same needs to be considered for standing too much. You need to find a happy medium. I recommend breaking up sitting and standing throughout the day.
Here's a tip if you don't have a standing desk: find a couple of boxes around the office and stack them up on your desk. Have a bookshelf? Grab the shelf and place it on the boxes for a flat surface. Otherwise, budget and purchase an adjustable height standing desk.
